Susan and I have a knack for seeing things creatively. We have always managed to figure out ways to “get more bang for our buck”.
It probably goes back to when we were growing up. Our Dad is an Electrician and worked for a local utility company. 
Our Mom stayed at home with us three kids, my sister, me, and our brother.
With modest means and determination, our parents were able to travel, own their home, and buy a vacation home and rental properties. Our Dad still retired at 55!
They have been a good example of using their money wisely and planning for the things they really wanted.
With a combination of those values instilled in us, and our ability for creative thinking, we’ve been able to have money for some of the life choices we really wanted.
Like starting our own businesses, me staying home with my son, and going on some art retreats just to name a few.
